From November 22nd to 29th, the 10th Amateur Football World Cup arrives in Rio de Janeiro and promises to be once again a spectacular tournament. Previously, the tournament was held in Buenos Aires in 2012, in Miami in 2014, and since 2016
it has been held in Rio de Janeiro.
With international representation, the tournament saw the participation of teams from countries such as Portugal, Spain, Italy, Hungary, the Netherlands, Norway, Catalonia, the Republic of Congo, Cape Verde, Angola, Brazil, Argentina, Uruguay, Chile, Colombia, Venezuela, Panama, Lebanon, Ecuador, Mexico, the United States, and South Korea, among others. This way, the Amateur Football World Cup becomes a unique and special event for all amateur football enthusiasts and fans of the sport.
The tournament is organized by Elite Sports Events, a company with a recognized track record for organizing the Amateur Football World Cup and the South American Amateur Football in Punta del Este, Uruguay, as well as the amateur Padel Experience tournaments in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil.
Elite Sports Events is a member of I.A.S.A. (International Amateur Sports Association), based in the United States.
To participate in the Amateur Football World Cup RIO2024, it is a prerequisite to reserve a spot in the selected category in which you will participate. This reservation is confirmed by paying the value of at least one player per team.
The participation cost is as follows according to the package chosen by the participant:

Package Value
The value of the package to be contracted will depend on the accommodation chosen by the team. Below we indicate the corresponding value for each available hotel:
- At Wyndham Barra: USD 1,100
- At Windsor Tower: USD 1,250
- At Windsor Barra: USD 1,400
In no case does it include airfare.
How can you secure your spot?
The quota for each team is secured by paying the first installment of the team's registration fee of USD 2,000 in 11-a-side football and USD 1,400 in 7-a-side football.
The total amount for the participation of all players on each team must be paid in monthly installments, based on the available months from the registration date.
In all cases, without exception, the overall cost for the team's participation must be paid by the deadline of October 31, 2024.
Players will have payment facilities with credit cards, individually and personally, with cancellation conditions agreed upon with the organizing company

TOURNAMENT REGULATIONS AND STRUCTURE
The tenth Amateur Football World Cup, to be held in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil from November 22nd to November 29th, 2024, will be governed by the following regulations.
GENERAL CONSIDERATIONS
The Amateur Football World Cup is an international tournament aimed at promoting the values of Fair Play, camaraderie, and friendship among amateur athletes from different countries who share a passion for football.
Therefore, the spirit of the regulations is oriented towards fulfilling these principles, ensuring that while maintaining the seriousness and importance of a great tournament, emphasis is placed on good relationships and Fair Play to make the tournament a true football celebration.
11-a-side Football
It will be divided into the following categories:
Master: +36 years
Super Master: +44 years
Premium: +54 years
The delegation in this format must consist of a minimum of 13 players and a maximum of 25. Accompanying persons are unlimited.
NOTE: The Master, Super Master, and Premium categories have minimum ages but no maximum ages. For example, a 54-year-old player could play in any of the three categories. In teams in these categories, 5 age exceptions will be allowed, for players up to two years younger.
The 11-a-side Football championship will be governed by FIFA competition rules, with the following exceptions:
Game Times
Matches will be played in 2 halves of 30 minutes each.
Substitutions
Substitutions are unlimited, and players who have been substituted can re-enter the field.
7-a-side Football
It will be divided into the following categories:
Master: +36 years
Super Master: +44 years
Premium: +54 years
The delegation in this format must consist of a minimum of 8 players and a maximum of 15. Accompanying persons are unlimited.
NOTE: The Master, Super Master, and Premium categories have minimum ages but no maximum ages. For example, a 54-year-old player could play in any of the three categories. In teams in these categories, 5 age exceptions will be allowed, for players up to two years younger.
The tournament will follow the same structure as the 11-a-side Football with the following exceptions:
Offside Rule: Played without the offside rule.
Game Times: 2 halves of 25 minutes each.
Substitutions
Unlimited.
Goalkeeper Passing Rule:
Same as 11-a-side Football.
Slide Tackles: Defending by sliding is not allowed. If a defender goes to the ground with the risk of endangering the opponent in possession of the ball, a foul will be called.
Goalkeeper Rules
The goalkeeper cannot pass the ball by air or bounce it past the halfway line unless the ball is touched by a player before crossing into the opponent's half. All goal kicks are taken with the hands.
Match Observers
Match observers are disciplinary assistants to the referees, and they may suggest disciplinary measures, not rule-related, to the referees in case of observing serious unsportsmanlike conduct that was not perceived by the refereeing team.
Game Format
Each category will be contested in 2 groups of 4 teams each, with all teams playing against each other within the group. (FIFA world system) The top 2 teams from each group will advance to the knockout phase. Teams that do not qualify will play a fourth match for a trophy against a non-qualifying opponent from the other zone.
Classification System
1) By points
2) By goal difference
3) By the highest number of goals scored
4) By the result of the match between the teams
5) By Fair Play table (fewer Red and Yellow cards)
As it is an international tournament, no more than 2 teams from the same country can participate in the same zone.
Disciplinary Regulations
Card Accumulation: Any player receiving 3 yellow cards in the qualifying phase will be suspended for one match; cards will be cleared only for the final.
Direct Red Card: It entails an automatic one-match suspension unless the tribunal considers that a longer sanction may be appropriate.
Double Yellow Card: It does not lead to an automatic suspension but may result in a one-match suspension according to the referee's report.
Uniform
Official FIFA competition attire will be strictly adhered to.
Awards
The champion, runner-up, and third-place teams of each tournament will receive commemorative trophies. Players from the champion and runner-up teams will receive commemorative medals.
Match Suspension due to Force Majeure
The organization will make every effort to ensure that all matches are played at the scheduled time, but as an outdoor event, the organization may, in cases of force majeure such as adverse weather conditions, modify match schedules and days at its discretion, and in extreme cases, reorganize the tournament's format, including suspending or canceling any match.
Communication
The fixture, results, standings, as well as any relevant communication, will be communicated to the teams through the Copa app and the tournament's website. Each team will designate a captain or delegate to be in contact with the organizing committee.
Organizing Committee

Any situation not foreseen in these regulations will be defined by the organizing committee, following the rules of fairness and justice; its decisions are final and binding. The participation of players in the tournament implies knowledge and acceptance of these regulations.
